Flushing Community on Alert
Families in Flushing have been told to be cautious of a man offering rides to children in the area. This is the second time in the past two weeks that a letter has been sent home to the parents of students warning of the suspicious man that has been offering rides to students in the community.
AIDS Awareness
The walk for AIDS awareness will be held this Saturday on the U of M-Flint campus. This is a topic that many people shy away from, but it is a growing one in the Genesee County area. This walk is taking place to help people 'come together and provides a support network' for those that have been impacted by this disease in some way. The walk is scheduled to start at 2pm.

Being There
Dealing with the stress of a loved one in surgery can be very overwhelming. One Flint resident has found a way to be there for these families and individuals as they go through the endless waiting process in the hospital waiting room. Reaching out to these people and letting them know you are there is what she specializes in. Helping our community in this small way has a huge impact in the lives of many:
